Sometimes life hits you smack in the face and sometimes it blows by like a cool breeze. So, this blog is about that...LIFE. It's about funny moments, surprises, refrigerators, scrapping, being a mom, photography, relationships, beaches, books, celebrations, and all the stuff in between.

Since the first day of fall happened earlier this week I thought it was time to do a fall edition. If you are like me you haven't even begun to decorate your house with those lovely fall things. Maybe this will help inspire you to get moving!

9. Have you seen this video yet? The couple dances through 10 decades of fashionin under 2 minutes. t was shot by Jake Lunt to promote the opening of the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre in East London. It's brilliant. Watch how the man disappears during the 40's when he goes off to war.

7. Peanut Butter & Jelly Tiramisu...I have died and gone to heaven.
6. I just discovered Booktrack today and I'm girlishly excited. You download the app on your iPhone, iPod, or iPad and it's as if your book has a Hollywood score with synchronized music and sound effects. The technology is paced to your own reading speed. Click the top right book here and try it out free with Sherlock Holmes. And the soundtracks are quality. They're made by the production company behind Lord of the Rings. There aren't too many titles available yet. But I'm looking forward to the rumored release of Romeo & Juliet and Pride & Prejudice!

7. Proud Daddy Moment this week: Anth took Sophia to run a couple of errands and he played this song. He played it a couple of times...because from the backseat he could hear Sophia singing "You arrreee". If you haven't heard any music from The City Harmonic, they are well worth checking out.
6. If you haven't ever seen book art like this before, check out this little shop via Etsy. But, even looking this...I realize you could make something similar. Just purchase an old dictionary from goodwill or a thrift store, use that as the paper, print some silhouettes that you like on the paper...and wala! You have some new art work.
5. A giant xylophone in the woods?!? YES, as the ball rolls over the long downhill track, it plays Bach’s Cantata 147: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. Wowza! Check out the commercial here.
1. Mason jars. These jars have become the base behind many a great craft project lately. With Mother's Day upon us, a few more have been popping up on my radar like this pseudo frame idea for vintage photo's of mothers (an idea from a wedding reception as seen on Ruffled blog. I love the idea of creating something like this for Mother's day. It's basically zero cost, and yet is packed with sentiment.

10. Yes, those are real giraffes. Yes, if you like giraffes, this might very well be the place for you. Just outside of Nairobi lies Giraffe Manor, twelve acres of private land where you can interact with giraffes over breakfast, exiting the front doors, or through your bedroom window.

3. This week I surprised a friend with flowers. No visit, no long talking...just a knock on the door and some white tulips. I won't forget the look on her face. Totally worth it...one of my favorite moments from this week.

10. This story bed is simply amazing. This would be a dream bed of my 6 year-old self. Sleep by night and stories by day.
9. I realize spoons are just for eating...but come on...wouldn't you love to eat with these?!
8. My dear friend(who lives far away and I miss) finally finished her daughter's quilt. It is beautiful folks. Seriously, I so wish I could do this. Her quilting makes me want to learn how.

10. The Rainbow House designed by AB Rogers Design in London looks like a cheerful and brilliant place to hang out, the house itself is a beautiful work of art! 4. Check out this collaboration with a Father and Son. All elements are hand drawn by Koen (age 6) with a Sharpie marker at the dining room table, then arranged digitally in our studio. Putting this idea away to do with Sophia someday.

8. Have any of you ever seen a wooden bathtub before?! I didn't even know they existed! Inspired by the comfort of an antique armchair and the sweeping sheer of a sailboat, Bath in Wood of Maine has been crafting wooden bathtubs for three years. Calgon take me away!
7. My scrapbook challenges lately have been focused on typeography, which...I LOVE, check out this sweet video.
6. A chair, a toy, a favorite pillow...she calls them Rolly-Polly. I call them bean-bags and here's how to make them for just $6! Click here to purchase the pattern. Let me know if you attempt this little DIY. Once I get a sewing machine, I am planning on making a couple of these myself.
5. So, I couldn't pick just one pair to share with you. These shoes from Joyfolie are just adorable. These shoes go all the way up to size 3T and they have some lovely accessories as well.
4. I think this awesome packaging makes this ice cream from Honey & Mackie's even better to eat. I like how is both modern and nostaglic.
3. A friend of mine shared with me this blog awhile ago...and I completely forgot about it until last week. I am in love with this mini-album (see more of the album here) and this collection from Crate Paper called Portrait. Can't wait to purchase this collection!
