He She & Her {September 2011}

Well, the last installment of HSH was in February. She is sure you don't want ALL the details over the last 6 months...so you will be spared. Instead, she will just fill you in the past month...September. For her the biggest focus was on potty training. Many a treats were consumed, "good job!" and "you're such a big girl was said."  Big question here: Did it work? Yes, it has. However as of late we are still dealing with accidents...almost daily. (I know...2 is her age!) She and her made a trip up to Indiana to see family. It had been too long since we had seen family.

Her first movie in a theatre happened this month. Kung Fu Panda 2. At home Kung Fu Panda is watched at least once a week by her. He and she were so proud of her...the show was watched with no potty breaks or melt-downs. Our $3 was money well spent!

In other news, he suffered a major injury. A volleyball injury...to the pinkie. That my fellow readers is another post for another day. He has since had surgery and is going to physical therapy 3 times a week. She traveled to St. Louis, MO with Laura and spend the weekend at the Joyce Meyer Conference. It was an extremely memorable and awesome time. And yes...she did go 630 feet up into the Arch.

Farewell September, you came and went so fast.

 

He, She, & Her {February 2011}

Oh...my...word. She is really behind this month. Hitting the 18 month mark for her! He experienced a life-impacting dream. She learned how to make flowers for scrapbooking while he learned that it is a good thing to take the trash out. One Friday night she and her went out to eat with Grandma...in which Diet Coke and spicy salsa were consumed. Much to the dislike of she. BUT her...on the other hand...loved it! The superbowl was watched in the house of Halbrook with small group. Her outfit was black and yellow. (guess you know who we rooted for). She was disappointed with the half-time show, but thought the lighted people were pretty neat. She had wonderful ideas for Valentine's Day...but that all came to a quick halt.  Her little head became infested with the little varmints known as lice. She cried...yes I will admit it. But her Valentine's Day was special...as Grandma and Grandpa bought over some treats and a present. Netflix were frequently watched this month by he and she as a much welcomed escape. Her poor little body was SO worn down, as teeth came to the surface and Fifth Disease happened.  She took on Fine Arts for Timothy Project. He continued to brave the snow...delivering mail...and he got his own route! wahoooo!

Her cowgirl boots made their debut and the birthday party of the Halbrook kiddos. Her obession with balls and actually pronoucing the word "ball" is an absolute riot. Her first taste of strawberries was a success...they were devoured. She also began baking homemade bread this month. The first loaf...was a failure. But she is happy to report now that each and every loaf made after has been a success. He, she and her spent this month with friends hanging out and having alot of fun. February 2011 was busy...but fun.

He, She, & Her {January 2011}

He, she, and her welcomed in this New Year with friends and family and even made it home by 1 AM! The next day was spent in Pj's and watching movies. She attempted to deep clean the house.
And she did make it through the entire upstairs with the exception of the kitchen. He was very appreciative of the cleanliness of the Galvan house. During this entire process she also discovered a secret hiding spot of hers.  He watched Beauty and the Beast for the first time and she couldn't have been more excited. One particular Sunday spent with good friends was very pleasant, as he, she, and her experienced a puppet show performed by some very creative kiddos. Her squeaker shoes are adorable and whenever they are worn her dance moves become more elaborate. She and he began waking up at 6am for devotionals. This was soon put to rest as she is most definitely NOT a morning person. He, she, and her all celebrated a very dear friend's 40th birthday (writing in the snow included!)  Her sickness was finally done, but He caught the bug soon after.
She began watching this and is officially addicted. While her favorite show has been this.

She and her both enjoy gazing out the window and watching the snow. The winter month has been absolutely gorgeous here. She has really enjoyed daily texting with a dear friend...there are days when it is the only adult contact she gets! (HA!) One night, she was very adventurous in her cooking and made a pork loin. It was awesome. He and her both really liked it. A new thing, between he and her...kisses on the window when he leaves for work (see below). It's priceless!

For the first time since college, she stayed up till 2:30 am. You may read more about that here.
But rest assured, she will never do that again. He and she thoroughly enjoyed this movie and would recommend it to anyone. Her vocabulary has really expanded and she is really enjoying the conversations with her. One night he, she, and her gathered in the living room for a family color night and it was such a a blast. I think this will be something to continue. She also, started her scrapbook challenges again and the layout to the right has become a favorite. All things said, January was a good month for he, she, and her.

He, She, & Her {December 2010}

december was such a lovely month for he, she, and her.  he said december has flown by and she agreed. while singing Angels We have Heard on High in the car she learned the correct pronunciation for "Gloria, in excelsis Deo". he learned that some things are left better unsaid. she made hot cocoa with french vanilla creamer while he devoured christmas tree cakes. she finally finished her christmas album 28 days late! but..it's DONE. she's wondering how long it will be before the pictures make the appearance in said album. he, she, and her all went to Wilmore's Old Fashioned Christmas for the first time...and boy was it COLD!  The decorating of the Christmas tree was put to a halt because her little hands couldn't contain themselves and he got overwhelmed by all the decorations. she has had a lot of fun taking pictures of the snow this year. He has discovered a new found love for ZUMA and she discovered that this takes up alot of time.  The fourth annual Halbrook Christmas Party was fun and she had a blast taking pictures and cookie decorating was a blast.

she loved receiving all the christmas cards with pictures from friends and family. christmas eve was spent bowling with friends and a beautiful candlelight service at church. a children's story was read during the service and she had to escort her out because of her excess screaming and unwillingness to sit still. but, her christmas dress sure was cute! the night ended with yummy chili and playing games. 

she and he had a wonderful christmas with her. he has a new found love for sweat pants and she has always loved warm socks. Baby Stella (thanks D!) was a huge hit for her, as it is carried around everywhere.

she didn't get around to making the gingerbread house but did finally make perfectly round sausage balls. he surprised her with a gift and she couldn't have been more pleased. the snow on christmas morning made her really excited. she took pictures of her looking out the window. her christmas jammies this year were penguins. he, she, and her had a very blessed December! Hope you and yours did as well.
