Listening to Lately

Here's what's been playing in my ipod and computer lately. If you haven't checked out or listened to any of these albums...do it. It's worth your time. I've always enjoyed Sara Groves-  her music is real and it's from the heart.  Conversations, I know is an older album...but it's one of my favorites.  Absolutely love Jesus Culture and their newest album Come Away does not disappoint. It's energetic, passionate, and authentic worship. My hubby and fellow music lover purchased Brooke Frasier's latest CD Flags for me as a gift. I had never heard of her before but Anthony had and he was sure I would like her music.  If you haven't heard of her she is the writer and singer of my all-time favorite worship song, Hillsong UNITED's "Hosanna." She has an amazing voice. The song "Flags" is about the last being first. Her song "Who are we Fooling" I talked about in a post here.  And just because it's Christmas-time, I have been listening to Rebecca St. James Christmas album Christmas.  I realize this came out when I graduated high school. But I love IT!!! To go along with the whole Christmas-time...Phil Wickham's Songs for Christmas can be downloaded digitally only for $10 and it is definitely worth it.    Found this band - Sleeping at Last while searching for new music and I really like them.   Quality music and such an awesome sound. Storyboards is the album I have really enjoyed. But I also like their yearbook series- December.  If you're looking for some great praise and worship music check out Gateway Worship's latest album, God Be Praised. It plays almost continuously in our house.  I can't help it but I love her stuff... Fireflies and Songs is awesome. I love the way Sara Groves writes and her piano playing makes her one of my favorite female christian singers.  And finally, The Medicine by John Mark McMillan. 
Most of you will know his most popular song "How He Loves." As for me my favorites on this album are "Death in His Grave" and "Skeleton Bones". These are songs that I cannot get out of my head.

  i think stop motion videos are awesome, check out this video by the david crowder band. they used 700,00 light brite pegs and it took over 2,000 man hours! SO creative and definitely worth a watch.

sometimes life is messy...

things get in the way of creating...the laundry is piled up, the checkbook hasn't been balanced, both sinks are filled with dirty dishes, or your child gets sick. that has been me this week.  i have got a few ideas swirling around in my head...so in the meantime... a pretty song and an amazing video. listen and enjoy. for you. "if you want to, i am game..."

Gilmore Girls....What can I say, it's a great series and I am completely hooked.  I am only on season 3 and I love the relationship between Lorelai (the mother) and Rory (16 year old daughter).  These witty, fast-talking girls crack me up with their views on life.  Can't wait to see what happens...and for those of you who see me and have watched this show...don't spill the beans.

7. Root Beer Floats. An old childhood favorite, that I have had every night this week.

8. SMS [Shine] by David Crowder Band...it's my new favorite song.

9. Would really love this print for my creating space.

10. This woman. She calls me just to see how I am, gives me a ring when there are awesome deals on scrapping supplies, I admire her dedication to her 3 boys, her obsession with the steelers cracks me up, and she's an all around great gal.  Love ya Susan!
